RADIOGRAPHY TESTING
SANIS offers IR 192 gamma radiography. Two man mobile units are available to service your radiographic needs. Radiographic Testing is most often used for process control during manufacturing, to detect subsurface discontinues in end products such as castings, welds, ceramics and composite materials and electronic components.
RT is applied in building and bridge construction, aircraft aviation and aerospace, automotive and space components manufacturing, and aircraft overhaul, maintenance and repair. It is also used for inspecting piping and pipelines, refinery vessels, steel pressure vessels and storage tank pipeline construction, new facility construction, pressure vessels, piping fabrication, tanks and shadow shot radiographs. Material of up to 75mm thick can be inspected with gamma radiography.
ADVANTAGES
- Provides a permanent record of the inspection
Detects both surface and subsurface defects
- Minimum surface preparation required
- Can inspect assembled components
- Verify internal flaws on complex structures
- Isolate and inspect internal components
- Measure dimensions and angles within the sample without sectioning
- Sensitive to changes in thickness, corrosion, flaws and material density changes
